ISO 9712 LEVEL 2 RADIOGRAPHIC TEST FILM INTERPRETATION (RTFI) TRAINING COURSE
Course Content
Weld defects and their components; viewing conditions, identification of radiographs; spurious indications and film artefacts; appreciation of radiographic principles and parameters of interpretation; standards for radiographic practice; interpretation tutorial; acceptance criteria.
Course Duration/ Date/ Course & Exam Fee
6 DAYS/ 23 – 28 September 2024/ 2300 BND per candidate for Full course + Exam and issuance of certificate. 50% return for cancellation prior to two weeks of commencement date of the course. No refund for cancellation within two (2) weeks of course commencement date but rebooking of course is possible at a later date.
Certification requirements
The minimum duration for experience prior to or following success in the qualification examination: Level 2 – 6 months. The minimum required duration of training, which includes both theoretical and practical elements: Level 2 – 120 hours.
Examination and Issuance of Certificates
Examinations will be conducted as per BiNDT PCN requirements on the last day or last 2 days of the course and certificate will be issued to the candidates who pass the examination as per the ISO 9712 marking requirements.
Course Objectives
- To explain the basic theory of radiography Testing
- To explain origin of defects
- To cover basic radiation safety principles
- To explain principles relating to selection of films, energy levels and techniques
- To evaluate radiographic sensitivity, standards for radiographic practice
- To recognize and differentiate between film artefacts and defects/ indications etc.
- To give opportunity to perform interpretation of a number of radiographs and application acceptance criteria
- To meet the syllabus of BiNDT PCN Level 2 for RTFI
